Welcome to My Life ;-)

  I’m at uni at the moment, borrowing the laptop from Baillieu Library for the very first time, hehe… kinda not in the mood of studying, although i haven’t even started yet, while exams are in about a week’s time…

  I don’t know what’s wrong with my Friendster blog, sigh… can’t even view my own blog… anyway, i’m really sad that i did so badly this semester (for assignmentS and mid-semester test… somemore "kena" bird’s dropping 3 times on me this year!!! really "suei" (in Hokkien), memang malang… #$%@!??!!

  Anyway, got free pizza the day before yesterday and a bottle of "V" yesterday at work (cause business was good). Isn’t it great? haha, working there is really fun, although it gets busy and rush at times… we (the employees) got closer to each other too (that’s what I think), which made us a better team!!

  Well, I guess there are always fun and unhappy moments… just a matter of how we look at it. I really thank God for being with me through all those times!!!

  Home alone for the weekend… Sis went to Mount Buller with her friends… kinda quiet… I guess that’s how it’s gonna be next year, huh… anyway, got loads of work to do this weekend…

  Just came back from the ISM (International Student Ministry) Welcome Night. It was awesome! The games warm us up a bit, the drama was humorous, the testimony was touching, but I was late, so I missed the first part (I think it was dancing). It’s amazing that everyone has different gifts given by God and all of us (from all around the world) could gather tonight!

  I learned something interesting about Aussie tonight - oi, oi, oi! Aussie, Aussie, Aussie! hehe, that’s not what I learned tonight, I learned the way they eat Tim Tam (an Australian product - chocolate biscuits) with coffee (considerably hot). First, you bite one of the corners of both ends, then you dip it into a cup of coffee and suck it up. Apparently, the coated chocolate will melt and you just put the whole biscuit into your mouth! Yummy!!! Interesting, aye?

  Unfortunately, I didn’t take any photos, cause I didn’t bring my camera…

  My sis’ friend, Michelle and Sharon, came to the city and stayed at our place over the weekend. It was so fun! Never really talked to them before, but all of us just clicked! How cool is that?

  Sharon went back yesterday, so there was only 3 of us today. We went around the city, starting with a rich breakfast - chocolate pizza, strawberry dip (in the photo below) and drinks at Max Brenner! It’s such a cool place, with chocolate as decorations in the shop. Anyway, the dark choc frappe tastes soooooooooo good!!! Anyone who visits Melbourne shouldn’t miss it!

  After that, we went to church for the re-launching of 40 Days of Purpose, another exiting event, which I really think that it’s God’s plan to bring Michelle here. Hope that Sharon will hear the Good News too!

  Next stop was Brunswick St and Smith St (window shopping). The shop that sells Gelati ice cream that we’ve been longing for is closed!!! what??? sigh… no choice… we’ll have to eat that some other day…

  Japanese food as dinner, mmm… yummy… another meaningful and wonderful day… took lots of photos, got to know such special and sweet friends… thank God so much…

I’ve been on the trot since uni started… working after class everyday… but everything was good! Praise the Lord!

SSCOC is going to start the 40 Days of Purpose campaign soon. I participated in that programme last year, it was REALLY good. I was especially touched by Rick Warren’s dad’s quote "save one more for Jesus", which he repeated over and over again before his death. So many people out there that seem to be strong and have everything that they want, but there’s a hole in our heart that only Jesus can fill.

Amidst the rushing and busyness of life, we just have to stop for while and focus on Him… Save one more for Jesus…
